Yoga For Cancer Care: Sleep Better and Reduce Stress (Video Series)

By  |

This month, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, YogiApproved™ has teamed up with to feature a 4-part video series called “Grit, Grace, and Gratitude” on yoga for cancer care. Please join us as we welcome Sierra Campbell, a yoga therapist and cancer survivor who offers helpful, compassionate guidance on your journey to cancer recovery using yoga. Sierra invites viewers to think of this practice as a way of tuning into – and gaining control over – your inner alchemy. In the name of Breast Cancer Awareness, and in the name of your health, let’s get started!

Sierra Campbell has a gift of imbuing her teaching with peaceful compassion that reaches through the computer and touches your heart. In this video, Sierra leads you through a gentle, therapeutic yoga practice with the theme of surrender, helping you discover a deeper connection with yourself, your inner wisdom, and release you into a state of openness and restoration. Mindful relaxation and observation are the main objectives, with the goal of helping you to rest deeply, relax, and restore, both on your mat and throughout your day.
A large part of surrender is the simple acceptance of what is. This guided practice helps rewire your stress patterns to create a more lasting, peaceful state of mind. Another immensely helpful part of this yoga for cancer video is the journaling process. For any of us who have practiced yoga, we know that emotions can often arise during our practice. Journaling immediately after your practice helps bring your inner wisdom to the surface as you work through any emotions that you are processing. Take a deep breath, and prepare for a peaceful, positive, and supportive yoga practice.
