British-born philosopher, writer, and speaker Alan Watts was profoundly influenced by the East Indian philosophies of Vedanta, Buddhism, and Taoist thought. Watts was best known for his ability to interpret and popularize these Eastern philosophies for Western culture. Bringing a much needed, fresh perspective to a society driven by consumerism and ego.
