What does self-love look like for you? Hi, my name is Koya Webb and I’m here to tell you my journey to self-love hasn’t been easy, and while I am at a much stronger place in my life right now, I still have a long way to go.

The road to getting where I am at now has been full of a lot of ups and downs but I am stronger because of it.

For me, the journey is the most important part in the process of self-love because of the valuable lessons you are able to take with you along the way.

The road to getting where I am at now has been full of a lot of ups and downs but I am stronger because of it.

Koya Webb Shares 4 Lessons Learned On the Journey to Self-Love:

1. Face Your Fears and Follow Your Soul

Facing my fears and following my soul have helped me heal. We all know that getting yourself to face your fears is no easy task. As with anything, it takes time.

But, in order to move forward to newer parts of your life and to really grow spiritually, mentally and emotionally, you must listen to what your soul is communicating to you and face your fears in order to elevate.

Facing my fears and following my soul have helped me heal.

Doing both have been essential in helping me heal wounds from the past and move forward.

2. Affirmations Work Wonders

If you know me, you know that I am a huge fan of positive affirmations, as they play a crucial role in my everyday routine.

Sometimes you need to physically look in the mirror and tell yourself that you are capable, you are beautiful, and you are so strong.

The more you say these things the more you start to believe in them. As a result, you will move further along in developing a true sense of self.

3. Self-Love Is Not a Selfish Act

Self-love is all about putting yourself first and listening to your own needs; there should absolutely be nothing wrong with that!

It starts from within.

In order to really look within ourselves, we must let go of the negative energy that takes our minds away from focusing on our worth and our potential. We are worthy of receiving and giving love, and so we must let go of anything or anyone that tries to prove us otherwise.

4. Everyone Wants To Be Loved

In a world full of so many people who retain different desires, one thing remains true: we all want to be loved. We all want someone to appreciate us for our true selves and all that we are able to do.

It starts from within. We must work on healing ourselves first because when we do that, we can heal others in this world.

What Lessons Will You Learn From Your Own Self-Love Journey?
