Write down one attainable goal for this year. Most people in yoga are “working on” a certain posture.

Just like you envision how it will look and feel when you move into this pose in a way that excites you, yoga (and life) requires time and reflection. You need to cultivate vision and perspective.

Your best vision blossoms from your dreams, hopes, hard work, and aspirations. It should feel exciting. It should resonate with your values and ideas, and will generate energy and enthusiasm to help strengthen your commitment to explore the possibilities of your life.
 

3. Embrace Your Individuality

You, unique and perfect as you are you, will never happen again. What are you going to do with that? The secret to how to thrive is to embrace just that!

Celebrate and acknowledge that you have something that only you were meant to do and share. Helping someone else in the process will only make it all the sweeter. If you haven’t yet figured out what that is, what are you waiting for?

Use yoga as a tool to help you with self-awareness. Hire a life coach. Hire a therapist. Do whatever it takes. Create a team of people who help you design your one amazing life if that’s what it takes to manifest the life of your dreams.

4. Surround Yourself With People Who Lift You Up

Life is short. You deserve wonderful, healthy, and empowering people in your life. Get rid of the toxic emotional vampires. Trust your instincts.

Healthy relationships are connections based on mutual respect, trust, honesty, support, equality, and a sense of playfulness/fondness (to name a few). Evaluate who/when/why. Eliminate anyone you need to.
 

 
 

5. Keep Moving Forward

If you want to change your life and thrive, keep moving forward!

Embrace change. Grow. Dream big. Turn wounds into wisdom. Get help if you need to. Heal and move forward. Dwell in gratitude. Keep a gratitude journal if you need a reminder. Take risks. Make mistakes. Forgive. Love.
