Is there a secret to happiness? Can we actually calculate our happiness and learn to control it?
Google executive, Mo Gawdat says he has the secret to happiness, a discovery he says was tested when his son died suddenly on holiday.

Is there really a science behind finding and maintaining real, substantial happiness?

Gawdat says there’s actually an algorithm for happiness. The first interesting point is the difference between happiness and fun. According to the video, today’s modern society is filled with instant gratification and fleeting fixes – think alcohol, social media, drugs, materialism, etc etc. The result? We associate these surface level things with happiness, which couldn’t be farther from the truth . . .
Happiness is peaceful contentment. We’ve all heard the analogy of whether your glass is half full or half empty. This video explores the concept of happiness as simply recognizing the truth of the glass. We must learn to recognize the fullness (or emptiness) of the glass, and then assess what brought us there – either what we’re lacking or suffering from or feeling satisfied with.
Happiness, then, is connected to our expectation or view of the world and our life within it.
Watch the video to learn more about this fascinating concept of the algorithm for happiness.
